Installation Steps
- 1. Insert SAS hard disk into docking station.
- 2. Connect USB3.0 cable between docking station and computer.
- 3. Plug in power adapter, toggle ON/OFF switch on rear panel. Power indicator lights up. Computer will auto‑detect hardware.
Important Notes
Used hard disk: The new drive will appear in computer for direct read‑write.
Brand‑new hard disk: Go to Disk Management to finish formatting before use.
New Hard Disk Format & Partition
1. Right‑click Computer → Manage → Disk Management, locate the newly‑connected hard disk.
2. Right‑click unallocated space and select New Simple Volume, follow wizard steps.
3. Partition style selection: Choose MBR if disk capacity ≤2TB; choose GPT if disk capacity ＞2TB.
4. Set partition size and click Next to complete partition.
5. After finishing, the new hard drive will show up in Computer and ready for use.
